Liam is now 8 weeks old! It is absolutely incredible how much he is growing up, and you will probably hear me say that every week. Overnight he has started social smiling, which just makes my day every time! He thinks its funny when you wiggle his feet back and forth, make him kick (he loves kicking his dad) and peek-a-boo has made him smile a few times too! He is still very serious though, so a smile is a special little moment. He is becoming so much more aware of his surroundings, he is noticing the toys and mirrors we have been trying to get him to notice for a few weeks now! He still doesn't "play" with toys, but he enjoys laying on his playmat and hitting the toys that hang down and staring at himself in the mirror! And luckily for us, he is still a very well behaved baby! I took him on an outing to Starbucks to meet up with Olivia and we were there about 2 hours and he didn't fuss until he was strapped into his carseat! He likes his carseat once he is in it, but strapping him in is horrible (according to him!) He is eating lots and he is getting those cute little baby fat rolls, so we will have to see how much weight he has gained at his 2 month check-up this Wednesday! One thing that he has started to do - I absolutely love and it makes my life so much easier, he is putting himself to bed! He gets his bedtime bath, and a big bottle and then once I swaddle him and give him his bink I can put him in his bassinet still awake and he will fall asleep all by himself! I am so lucky to have such a good little man! So here are just a few snipits of moments I captured on my phone of Liam in action!
